Day 1 - Nara

Osaka

Landed almost an hour before time. Great tailwind! So we landed in Osaka and had a coffee at Starbucks. OMG cheaper here then in Sweden! After about an hour we took the airport bus to Nara and Kintetsu-Nara station. We caught a taxi to the hotel and dropped our bags. We had a nice Bento lunch and then we went up to Todaiji Temple. We saw the Big Buddhas, the friendly deers and just walked about. Had a "late" dinner at seven-ish. All was tired after the flight and most had not caught up with the 8 hours time difference. Me included. So now it is ten PM and time to go to bed. Awesome day but tired. Very tired. And with breakfast at 730AM before we take a new bus and head for Kyoto.

Just some more snaps - some ego shots so I know where I was and when.. When I am old and forget everything. Btw . Snow came today on the west coast. The weather is not what one expected. Cold at nights and chilly during the day. Now we sleep in a room with gas heaters. And.. it is a country that had heated toilet seats. Can that be the new measurement for civilization? Lets see what happens in Kyoto.
